David and Monica are a husband and wife evangelistic team here in Ecuador. David comes from a family of evangelists and pastors while Monica has a different story of how she came to faith.
As a child Monica's mother was an alcoholic and Monica had an incredibly difficult childhood. In Flordia, Monica's aunt heard of her situation and arranged for Monica, aged 15, to come live with her.
At this point, Monica felt hopeless and filled with despair was contemplating taking her life. One evening she decided to go to a church. She listened to the message and thought, "I'm going to leave, this isn't for me."
Monica began to walk out when a large lady came over and asked her why she was leaving. As Monica explained, the lady reached out and embraced Monica. Monica began to weep. She felt a love and acceptance she had been searching for her entire life.
Soon the Pastor came and Monica turned her life to Christ and became a Follower of Jesus. Her life changed immediately! She began to share with others what she was learning from the Word of God.
Now God is using David, Monica and their three children to share the Gospel all across their nation.
What was interesting to me what that Monica felt the love and acceptance of a Follower of Jesus before she experienced the Love of Jesus!
Could God use your arms to show His love to someone?
