Final Summary

There were 306 Decisions for Christ while we were in this trip.   That is amazing!  God moved in a magnificent way.

It was a joy serving with Gerry Succane and the group from Sagemont.  Truly some amazing people.

Now the real work begins.   The Iglesia Baptist Church in Manta has much follow up to do.   I feel they will be faithful and God will continue the work that He started!!!

Thursday - 23rd Combat Squadron

We had the honor of speaking to the 23rd Air Force Fighting Squadron under the Command of Marco Andrade.

It was an amazing time talking to these courageous young men and women.

We talked with them about Fear.   While they are brave in so many ways, they all fear for their families, children and navigating life.  There were four soldier who put their faith in Christ.

Wednesday Evening / Barrio of September 15th

This is another place where people displaced by the Earthquakes have gathered.  There were some tents and cardboard structures next to some permanent buildings that didn't sustain as much damage.

Wednesday - Ground Zero for Manta Earthquake

We were allowed to go behind the barricades to a section of the worst damaged part of Manta.   The estimation is that over 600 people lost their lives in the April Earthquakes, but in reality, there are still buildings that have not been razed and rubble that has not been cleared - perhaps even with bodies in them.

It is my understanding that the marking in this building indicates that 8 bodies were found inside the building.

The streets were emptied except for security and workers.

This empty spot was where a 5 story apartment/hotel complex was.  It completely collapsed killing many that was in the building.  There were several such spots that were like this.

Please be in prayer for the families and the reconstruction of Manta.

Tuesday Morning -"Lev Vigotsky" School - San Antonio Barrio - Manta

We had a great time at "Lev Vigotsky" school today where about 200 students were in attendance to see the drama, the music and art.

This was the man who allowed evangelicals into Ecuador at a time when the Catholic Church had a stronghold in the Nation.

We had a great time and many responses.

Monday Night - Colorado Barrio

We were in the Colorado Barrio outside of Manta Ecuador this evening.

There were many people that arrived.

Before I'm asked to speak I find a space to ask the Father to prepare my heart and mind.

Many people responded to the message in song, drama, art and word.

There also was a great time for the children also.
